Diego’s Story

This is Diego. He is an American Bulldog Mix and was born in March of 2003.
About the time he was 18 months old he got his first sore on his back and a yeast infection in his ear. We took him to our veterinarian and he told us that Diego had food allergies. From then on his sores just got worse and began to spread all over his body.
Over the next 5½ years Diego was seen by four different vets and all of them treated his condition with antibiotics and medicated bath wash. The last vet was sure Diego had allergies and put him on a twice-a-week medicated wash and allergy pills.
After a year of no results we went to see Dr. Frank at Harmony Animal Wellness Center in Monroe. I'd been wanting to take Diego to a holistic vet for a while and I was referred by a friend to one in Snohomish, but he had moved out of state. That vet center told me about Dr. Frank, and so we went to see him.
Dr. Frank took one look at Diego and said he was certain that Diego's issues were not allergies, but that his problems were internal, his body just wasn't right inside.
Dr. Frank said he was almost certain that Diego's problem was his thyroid. A simple blood test proved the doc right. Dr. Frank said Diego's thyroid was so low he was almost anemic and that it was the worst he had seen in his 15 years as a veterinarian.
Dr. Frank put Diego on a pretty high dose of thyroid medicine and assured us that Diego would be a totally different dog within four weeks.
After three weeks on the thyroid meds, Diego's hair began to grow back, all his sores were gone and he had a lot more energy. Now, after only seven weeks, Diego has lost 20 pounds, has a completely new coat of fur and has no sores on his body whatsoever.
My poor dog suffered for five years and I am so grateful for Dr. Frank. I know that if Diego could talk he would thank him too.
